Archery popularity and The Hunger Games

     Archery is popular today in the US as an effect of The Hunger Games. A lot of kids in the US start to learn archery as a result of liking Katniss. They like Katniss because they think she is a role model and strong. Most of kids who were learning archery are girls, so their fathers’ will go shopping with them to buy a bow and arrows and to train how to use it, there for the relationship between father and his daughter is becoming better because they have some income activities to do together. Archery is a good sport need less physical energy, and it is an independent sport. Also, it is a freedom sport a person will not need a team to play it and can play it outside any time.

The Hunger Games Fans

      There are trips related to The Hunger Games activities in North Carolina, for summer vacation. There are two tips of day tours, one is the walking tour and the other one is by shuttle. The walking day tour you will do a hiking tour to where The Hunger Games movie location were filmed and you will hear the story for each location while you are walking. In addition, you will try the food as The Hunger Games style for lunch. Moreover, you have chance to participate in survival workshops. The day tours start from May until the beginning of November, and it will be on most Saturdays. The cost for the day tour is 50 per person. These tours are from 10am – 3pm. I think a lot of people will go to North Carolina in summer vacation.

My opinion of The Hunger Games

                           

The Hunger Games was my first novel to read in English and the first English movie I understood everything in it. I’m so surprised why most people like this story, even me. I think it’s a terrible story because the story in dystopian society make kids kills each other. Maybe most people like it because it would not happen in real life. I like the movie because there is not too much violence like the book. I am satisfied about the ending because Katniss and Peeta are still alive, but I am so sad about Gale because he loves Katniss. I am waiting for the next movie. I recommend reading the book before watching the movie because there are some scenes you will not understand if you don’t read the book.

Pow-Wow

The Pow-Wow is a celebration of North American Native peoples. Men, women and kids dance together dramatic dancing, clockwise around. There are drum group circle drum and Sing Indian song. They wear special clothes made by using materials from animals. Many Native American Indian dancers wore brightly colored regalia and headdress decorated with eagle feathers, ribbons, bead art, animal furs and bear claw necklaces and feather fans. They sell delicious food, fry bread and Indian bread. Also, they sell necklaces and pictures.

My Spring break was a good time to learn and study, but it was not too exciting. I had an ILETS test on the last Saturday in the Spring break, so I had to study hard most of the days in the Spring break. I studied by myself by using practice ILETS book and me listened to some lectures in the internet. The others days I did not study, I went shopping with my husband and bought new clothes. Also, I started to read a book about how to start catering in your home. I am so excited about this book because I like to cook and I want to open a restaurant in the future, but I did not know how to start a business. The exciting thing I did was watching movie in the movie theater and the movie was, The Hunger Games. I really enjoyed watching this movie and I want to watch it again.
